Background

I am deeply inspired by images of unity and sisterhood, especially between women of color. I find that in mainstream culture, we heavily lack portrayals of strong female friendships and the intimacy within them. I wanted to illustrate this pose, as I felt that the image of two women leaning on each other encapsulated that strength that is found in supporting and being supported by another woman.
